Zero to hero update number 1

It’s been a hot minute, hasn’t it? Well sorry to disrupt your regular Spooktober programming but here’s an update on the Zero to hero project and what has been going on in my life the past month.

The first update is on the general job search. I have realized that a lot of my problems are related to a lack of routine and purpose. Both of these things could be somewhat fixed by getting a job. Thus I am now enrolled in an unemployment program to help me find a job in my field which is content manager / digital marketing (if you have any leads hit me up). It will also help a lot with my self-worth and lack of confidence that I have developed by sitting on my ass doing not half as much as a productive person would.

The second update is on my workout habits. With the introduction of a Ring Fit (look forward to a separate article on that later) and general long walks, I have started to lose mass. I don’t feel as bloated and ugly anymore. There’s still quite a way to go but I am slowly getting there. On top of that, I am eating a lot less sugar (not sugar-free yet) which is helping a lot. I do still binge occasionally on beer and snacks though. One thing at a time right?

The third update is that I have removed any and all dating apps. I am not in a good enough position living and financial-wise to try to find love again. I still feel extreme loneliness but I am currently a victim of circumstance (damn pandemic) so it’s something that I have to accept for now.

That’s pretty much where I am at. I have big plans but as with everything in everyone’s lives it’s been put on a temporary involuntary hold. There will be some bigger posts about this project soon enough but currently, I am really enjoying just sharing tiny reviews of movies with you guys. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy making them.
